A professional association for defenders across Washington State, WDA is committed to improving the quality of the defense bar. It provides training, publications and resources for defenders, and lobbies in support of legislative changes to improve the criminal justice system. WDA offers technical assistance free of charge to any attorney practicing public defense in Washington state. This includes support and consultation on misdemeanor or felony cases, and advice on cases involving non-citizen clients.
