Public Defender Contacts
Nevada state law requires counties whose population is 100,000 or more to create a county public defender office. Smaller counties may elect to create a public defender office. Three counties have county public defender offices,
[5] Clark Washoe and Elko Counties. [6] The Nevada State Public Defender's Office has responsibility to provide assistance of counsel to indigent juveniles in juvenile court in counties with populations under 100,000 which do not have a county public defender office.
